In a bid to save their beloved farm from being sold, an outback family pins their hopes on their prize horse Prince. When Prince is stolen by thieves, the family's children Helen (a baby-faced Nicole Kidman in her debut) and John, accompanied by Indigenous station worker Manalpluy embark on a dangerous adventure through the Australian bush to find him and reclaim their home, all in time for Christmas.
